Italian text A voi reali amanti cediam noi tutti gran numi del cielo. Per lei non pur s'infiora ma di perl' e rubin s'ingemma Flora: di pur'argento ha l'onde, Arno per voi gran Duc' e d'or le sponde: Tessiam dunque ghirlande a si gran Regi e sian di paradiso i fior e i fregi, a lor fonte real s'intrecci Stelle, e Sol e Luna e cos'alt'e più belle.

English translation To you, royal lovers, we all yield, great powers of heaven, so let us weave garlands for such great and regal persons, and may the flowers and ornaments come from Paradise. Let their royal foreheads be adorned with stars, with the sun and the moon, and with other august and more beautiful things. Translation by Mick Swithinbank
