French text – Baisez-moi, ma doulce amie, par amour, je vous en prie. – Non feray ! – Et pourquoy ? – Si je faisais la follie, Ma mère en serait morrie. Vela de quoy !

Portuguese translation – Beije-me, minha doce amiga, por amor ! Eu lhe suplico… – Não o farei ! – E por quê ? – Se fizesse tal folia, minha mãe me mataria. Eis o porquê !

English translation "Kiss me, my sweetheart, as my true love, I beg you!" "Indeed I will not, and why? If I were foolish, my mother might be hurt: that's why."
