Bread of Life, we pray you
from the Father's throne,
come and dwell among us,
make our hearts your home.
Too long have we hungered
to behold your face;
come now, Bread of Heaven,
feed us by your grace.

Take our form upon you,
if it be God's will;
flesh as flesh inherit,
breath of life instill.
In your arms sustain us,
lift us when we fall;
be to us a shepherd,
hear us when we call.

Come, Lord Jesus, quickly!
much we need your care.
Fill us with your presence,
give us love to share.
Spread your heavenly banquet
to the ends of earth;
may we see your greatness
in your humble birth.
