A conductus is a medieval sacred partsong with original music and lyrics. The conductus originated in Aquitaine in the 12th century as the versus, but many are known from Paris. Conductus generally date from the mid-twelfth century to the mid-thirteenth century.

nb. Conductus is a fourth-declension noun in Latin, therefore its plural is conductus, with a long 'U'.
