Description: The words are a translation of the Latin hymn, Angularis fundamentum lapis, from Hymns of the Primitive Church, by Rev. John Chandler. The tune presumably dates from the time that Wesley was organist at Leeds Parish Church, Yorkshire. (Harewood is near Leeds.) For descants, see Harewood (Alan Gray) and Harewood (Andrew Sims).
