Description: 2-part motet. Part 2: Ipse castigavit nos
The two bass parts are not of equal tessitura. The original 1573 print puts the higher bass of Part I together with the lower bass of Part II,
whereas in Magnum opus musicum Sextus is given the higher bass part of both parts, and Bassus the lower.
The present edition follows Magnum opus musicum in making two different bass parts, a higher and a lower one.

5 Ipse castigavit nos propter iniquitates nostras et ipse salvavit nos propter misericordiam suam. |

3 Give glory to the Lord, ye children of Israel, and praise him in the sight of the Gentiles:
5 He hath chastised us for our iniquities: and he will save us for his own mercy. |
