Description: Denkmäler deutscher Tonkunst is a set of volumes of two groups (folge) designed to focus on German music not elsewhere published. Erste Folge consists of 53 volumes published from 1892 to 1931, originally commissioned by Wilhelm II of Prussia. Zweite Folge contains music of Bavarian affinities. Many of the volumes of both folgen have been reissued.
