German text Es ist ein Ros entsprungen aus einer Wurzel zart, wie uns die Alten sungen, von Jesse kam die Art. Italian translation E' nata una rosa Da una tenera radice, Come cantavano gli antichi Dalla stirpe di Jesse.

English text Lo, how a Rose e’er blooming from tender stem hath sprung! Of Jesse’s lineage coming, as men of old have sung. Dutch translation Er is ensarn roos ontsprongen, uit ene wortelstam, die lijk ons d'ouden zongen, uit Jesse 't leven nam.
