German text 7  Feget den alten Sauerteig aus, auf dass ihr ein neuer Teig seid, wie ihr ungesäuert seid. Denn wir haben auch ein Osterlamm, Christus, für uns geopfert. 8  Darum lasset uns Ostern halten nicht im alten Sauerteig, auch nicht im Sauerteig der Bosheit und Schalkheit, sondern im Süßteig der Lauterkeit und der Wahrheit.

English translation 7  Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
