Died: 14 September 1861, Rome

Biography

Santini was a priest and a composer who amassed a large collection of books and manuscripts of sacred music over the course of the first half of the nineteenth century. In 1855, he sold his collection to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Munster, where it remains today.
