Easier way to donate
What about introducing an easier way to donate, especially for non-US users, such as using PayPal or credit card? --Choralia 15:10, 23 October 2007 (PDT)
- That sounds like a good idea. As Raf handles all the server maintainance and any costs involved, my advice would be to email him - "ornes AT cpdl DOT org" Regards --Bobnotts talk 04:13, 24 October 2007 (PDT)
- Honestly speaking, I tried 2 or 3 times to contact Raf, because I wanted to make a donation and I was wondering whether he had a PayPal account, or something like that. Sending a check from Italy to the U.S. does not seem very reliable to me, and I wonder how much money the banks would get as a commission for the cashing the check internationally. However, my attempts to contact Raf did not succeed: perhaps he is too busy. I suppose that anybody else who may be willing to make a donation would face the same problems I encountered, so I think that facilitating the donations is necessary for the benefit of CPDL. If Raf is not willing to manage an account for payments via internet on his own, I'm ready to open a PayPal account for CPDL under my name, and periodically send in some way to Raf any money collected through such an account. --Choralia 15:02, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
Is this address correct?
I sent a donation to the address mentioned in this web page. A check was sent on my behalf by an U.S. resident. This is the result:
- our donation to CPDL was returned by the U.S. Post Office. I sent it to 696 Boynton Avenue, San Jose, Ca 95117 and it was returned unable to deliver to this address. Did I copy it wrong? or have they moved?
Any clue? Donating to CPDL looks quite difficult... --Choralia 02:34, 5 February 2008 (PST)
