Biography
Herbert Walter Wareing was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, England. He studied under Charles Swinnerton Heap, then at the Leipzig Conservatoire and the University of Cambridge. He held organist positions at St. John’s Church, Wolverhampton; St. Bartholomew’s Church, Edgbaston, Birmingham; St. Nicolas’ Church, Kings Norton; and Christ Church, Malvern. He was professor of piano at Malvern College and directed the Worcester Cathedral Choir School.
