Description: This motet also has doubtful attribution to Pierre de Manchicourt: in Susato’s 1546 collection he is named in the index and above the secunda pars in the Superius partbook, but Clemens is named above the music in all other partbooks and is acknowledged as the composer in the other sixteen printed and handcopied sources of this motet. It appears in both composers’ volumes of The American Institute of Musicology’s Corpus Mensurabilis Musicae.
