French text Je suis déshéritée, Puisque j’ai perdu mon ami. Seulett' il m’a laissée, Pleine de pleurs et de souci. Rossignol du bois joli, Sans point faire demeurée, Va t‘en dire à mon ami Que pour lui suis tourmentée.

English translation I am dispossessed Since I have lost my sweetheart. He has left me alone Full of sorrow and care. Pretty nightingale of the woods, Without further demur Go and tell my sweetheart That I yearn for him.
