I have found the peace of heaven, ‘Tis the Father’s promise given, I am happy in the Lord today; It’s the Holy Spirit’s power In my soul this very hour, And I’m happy in the Lord today. Chorus Just today, just today, I am happy in the Lord today; I will trust Him for tomorrow, Let it come with joy or sorrow, I am happy in the Lord today.

2. Though the storms of life are beating, And the joys of earth are fleeting, I am happy in the Lord today; Though my chosen plans are failing, And the host of Hell assailing, I am happy in the Lord today. 3. Many comforts are denied me, While the woes of life betide me, I am happy in the Lord today; Often pressed with many crosses, Set with bitter grief and losses, But I’m happy in the Lord today.
