Description: Revised in The Sacred Harp, 1850, and Alto part written by D. P. White. Words by Isaac Watts, 1709, Hymn 91 of Book 2, with nine stanzas. Holyoke used the first two stanzas of Watts' hymn in his composition. The four-part piece, edited by D. P. White, is no. 362 NORWICH in The Sacred Harp (1991).
