Italian text Mi lagnerò tacendo Della mia sorte avara Ma ch'io non t'ami, O cara, non lo sperar da me. Crudel, in che t'offendo Se resta a questo petto Il misero diletto Di sospirar per te? Mi lagnerò tacendo Della mia sorte avara Ma ch'io non t'ami, O cara, non lo sperar da me.

German text Ich trage still mein Leiden, das mir ein Gott gesendet, doch dich, Geliebte zu meiden, das fordre nicht von mir! Du Stolze, kann´s dich denn kränken, wenn tief in meinem Innern ein seliges Gedenken der Sehnsucht geht nach dir?

Dutch translation In stilte zal ik klagen over mijn bittere lot, maar je niet beminne, lieve, verlang dat niet van mij. Harteloze, waarom laat je mij nog steeds zo lijden? Je bent wreed, verwacht het niet van mij.                (Bert Nieuwenhuize)
