O Wisdom, coming forth from the Most High,
coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,
Wisdom, whose reach is boundless,
Who orders all things mightily,
Mightily and with sweetness:
Come and teach us the way of prudence:
Come and deliver us and tarry not!

O Dayspring, brightness of light everlasting and Sun of Righteousness:
come and enlighten them that sit in darkness,
and in the shadow of death,
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light,
a great light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has never mastered it.
