O schöne Spindeln, wer will welche kaufen?

O fine spindles, who wants to buy some?
We sell these spindles on trial.
They are new spindles,
do you wish to try them?
Come and grasp them,
we give them on trial.

Take one and see if you can bend it,
and we give three of them for a copper coin or eggs.

If you try to compare them, lady:
You won't find such woodwork elsewhere.

These are spindles from a certain place,
the more you spin, the more they are taut.
