English text
Peaceful slumbering on the ocean,
Sailors bear no danger nigh,
Thy winds and waves in gentle motion
Soothe them with their lullaby.
He, who, when the waves are rolling,
Sets his trust in God on high,
Amidst the tempest’s fiercest howling
Still enjoys a lullaby.
