Latin text Praevaluerunt in nos inimici nostri et roboraverunt bracchium firmaverunt manes et sicut bellantes circumdederunt nos. Intende Domine in refrigerium nostrum et conturbentur inimici nostri. Eure nos de corde bellatorum apprehende tela et arcum, Afflige opprimentes nos: Tibi praeconia ut tibi laudes, tibi dicamus gloriam.

English translation Our enemies have prevailed over us. They have strengthened their arm; They have stretched out their hands And like warriors they have surrounded us. Strive, O Lord, to give us relief And let our enemies be confounded. Pluck us from the heart of the fighting Find the spears and the bows, Strike down those who afflict us In order that Thou mayest Be praised and celebrated, That we may glorify Thee.
