Edition notes: Transcribed at original pitch, note values halved. This is one of the pieces on which Lowinsky based his theory about a "secret chromatic art". Though his theory was not really accepted by his collegues, I decided to include his version in this edition; it follows after the 'natural' version.

Latin text Qui consolabatur me recessit a me quaero quod volui et non invenio fundent oculi mei lacrimas quia repletus sum amaritudine.

English text He that was comforting me departed from me I am looking for what I wanted and I do not find it my eyes splash tears because I am filled with bitterness.
