First published: 1538 in Tertius liber mottetorum ad quinque et sex voces (Jacques Moderne), no. 2
2nd published: 1539 (December) in Fior de mottetti secundus liber cum quinque vocibus (Antonio Gardano), no. 11
Description: Published by Jacques Moderne, Lyon, 1538. The source clearly contained errors both of pitch and, more seriously, of note values, which would presumably have rendered the work unsingable from that source (the first half would have ended with voice parts in three different 'time zones'). Insofar as this editor compared Gardane's edition of 1539, the errors appeared to be reproduced there. Jacques Moderne might have wanted to have words with the type-setter of the Superius book especially, but also of the Bassus.
