Split, or a publication page?

I'm worried that a bunch of pages named:

Devoti ac sacri per totum annum hymni 1-3 (Jan Le Febure) … Devoti ac sacri per totum annum hymni 98-100 (Jan Le Febure)

can't be searched or indexed in a meaningful way. If either split into separate titles or merged into a Music publications page there can at least be a table of contents in one place. Richard Mix (talk) 23:04, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

These specific hymns (1 to 3 of the collection) are supposed to be sung in "Dominica prima Adventus, & per totum Adventum ad Vesperas" (see the header on the score). The situation is similar for all other hymns, which are grouped according to the relevant liturgical times. The editor decided to make one edition for each group of hymns that are referred to a specific liturgical time. So, we have actually a logical structure that includes multiple levels: the whole collection, that covers several liturgical times; and each liturgical time (with an edition associated to it), which includes multiple hymns. What's the best way of managing this situation, without asking the editor to split everything differently? Overall, the editor has provided to me 82 hymns grouped into 22 liturgical times, plus 4 individual antiphonae from the same collection. Choralia (talk) 14:59, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks: taking a closer look Conditor alme siderum, Cuius forti potentiae, & Laus, honor, virtus gloria are not 3 hymns at all, but verses 1, 3 & 5 2, 4, 6 of the same hymn, which actually makes renaming the page pretty simple. Richard Mix (talk) 22:28, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
The only problem I see is deciding how to number for the publication page: the original (https://stimmbuecher.digitale-sammlungen.de//view?id=bsb00092032) does number the sections 1-3, so is the 2nd hymn n=2 or n=4? or is n=1-3 a valid parameter? Richard Mix (talk) 00:01, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
I've privately sent to you a Dropbox link to the whole set of Jan Le Febure's editions provided by Sabine Cassola (except those I already uploaded). Please have a look so that you can consider the whole picture. I'm not sure about assigning section numbers. Choralia (talk) 09:27, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, Max. That confirms (despite my initial confusion) that Sabine knows just what she's doing, and that there are 2 Christe redemptor to disambiguate. Richard Mix (talk) 21:41, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

I've put some titles or rather text page links on Devoti ac sacri per totum annum hymni (Jan Le Febure); starting at #40 Sabine's pdf's gave me error messages. There are still one or two that want splitting, though. Richard Mix (talk) 09:50, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you, Richard. I've downloaded the whole set from Dropbox as a zip package using the same link that I provided to you, and all pdf files open correctly on my computer. I'd suggest you to re-download the whole set, maybe the zip file got corrupted. Choralia (talk) 10:04, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for completing the publication page. I've added some more items, please check that I'm doing it correctly with respect to the structure that you have foreseen. Choralia (talk) 10:46, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
You're being terribly gracious about my (partially) declining the Tom Sawyer gambit, Max :-) Barry added sequential numbers, and they should help making gaps in the publication table easy to spot; I'll also add some split tags as needed. Richard Mix (talk) 22:30, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
LOL, I had to document myself about the Tom Sawyer gambit :-) Many thanks to you and to Barry for improving the publication page. I'm uploading new pieces very slowly because of other priorities as well as because still I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly, so I check your corrections and try to minimize any reworking required. I've just uploaded three more pieces. Choralia (talk) 06:34, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
