Original text and translations
1 When the sunset blooms have faded
In the garden of the sky;
When the cloudlets, dull and shaded,
Wrapt in sombre stillness lie;
R: Golden Land! in glory lying,
Though it fade from earth and sea,
From the gloom my soul is sighing, Golden Land, for thee!
2 When the blossoms hope hath cherished,
All their rosy petals shed;
When the lovelit joy hath perished,
And the brilliant dream hath died;
