English text
Long ago in another time a birth was foretold
of a loving, gentle child by prophets of old.
They called him Messiah, a savior and king,
and told of the justice and peace he would bring.
Little one, little one, born to us now,
angels and shepherds and wise men all bow.
We love and adore you and ask you, we pray,
to rule in our hearts and forever to stay.
Alleluia!
Many years we've waited for Messiah to come.
Children of Israel, we long to go home.
A star shines above us, can this be the light
that leads to our savior, our hope in the night?
Little one, little one, born to us now,
angels and shepherds and wise men all bow.
We love and adore you and ask you, we pray,
to rule in our hearts and forever to stay.
Alleluia!
