A rimorderla torna mille volte!
Tu lingua soffri e taci
Perchè se n'avrai morsi, io n'avrò baci.

English.png English translation

My tiger, if it burdens you
and causes offense
that for you my tongue laments,
either bite it, or rip it out with your teeth some day,
but so as to not relieve the pain in but one stroke,
do not sever it completely.
Instead, because its pains would be so great,
return to bite it again a thousand times!
You, tongue, suffer and be silent
because if she will have bites, I will have kisses.
