English translation Corisca Here, then, is a convenient delight, A feast at thy command, and to thy taste Fitly prepar'd, and far beyond the power Of golden stores to purchase! O Mirtillo, Forsake the hopeless chase of one who flies And scorns thy love, and her receive who longs To gain thy love, and take thee to her arms. Nor do I feed thee with vain hopes; 'tis thine But to command, and she that loves is near: This instant if it please thee. Translated by William Clapperton
