English text
Luke 24:1a Upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre.
Luke 24:2a They found the stone rolled away.
Luke 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
Luke 24:5b and said unto them: Why seek ye the living among the dead?
Luke 24:6a He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you:
Luke 24:7 The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Alleluia!
O joyful sound! O glorious hour!
When by His own Almighty power
He rose, and left the grave!
Now let our songs His triumph tell,
Who burst the bands of death and hell,
And ever lives to save! Amen.
