Welcome

Welcome to CPDL and thanks for the blog link as well as the new editions! The voicing link on Cum vocatus fueris ad nuptias (Cosimo Bottegari) is red because that category has not been created. I think Solo medium would be as suitable as Solo high, but you could also add both {{Voicing|1|Solo Soprano,Solo Tenor}} if you really think those two need spelling out.

You must know the Rognoni/Palestrina Pulcra es; have you ever done the bass version? Richard Mix (talk) 23:56, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello Richard:
As you may have guessed I am completely unfamiliar with the format and protocols but appreciate the help in cleaning up the confusing bits. I understand that Solo high is a clickable designation but I don't want frighten away tenors because that is the range where the piece was meant to be sung originally. However it makes the most sense works for me.
I'm familiar with the many settings of late 16th-century madrigals for solo voice or viola bastarda but haven't run across the Rognoni setting. We lute players live a cloistered life. Thanks again. RA
Ach, I see why that isn't self-explanatory now. The solo categories borrow from Lied and mélodie conventions, where works are often published with the accompaniment in 2 or even 3 transpositions: low (alto or bass), medium (mezzo or baritone}} and high (soprano or tenor) For Brahms, who usually specified two different keys for his songs, it might even make better sense to use Solo voice in the general information section.
I too have picked up more tips from user talk pages than from Help! Cheers, Richard Mix (talk) 03:08, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
