Italian text Valle profonda, i miei lamenti sentonsi, E gli animali tuoi a pietà muovonsi, E della trista sorte mia non curonsi. Com’esser può se’l mio gran mal non provano, E i mei gravi sospir al cor lor giongono Dunque del mio dolor tutti si dolgono?

German translation Tiefes Tal, meine Klagen hört man, und deine Tiere werden zu Mitleid gerührt, und um mein trauriges Schicksal kümmern sie sich nicht. Wie kann es sein, dass sie mein großes Leid nicht spüren, und meine tiefen Seufzer zu ihren Herzen hinzufügen, dass sich also alle über meinen Schmerz betrüben? Translation by Gerhard Weydt

English translation Deep valley, my laments are to be heard, and your animals are moved to pity, and tey don’t care about my sad fate. How can it be that they don’t feel my great sorrow, and join my deep sighs to their heart, that all then are saddened by my grief? Translation by Gerhard Weydt
