Biography

William Frederick Taylor was born in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. He spent some time as a mariner, but established a career as a music teacher, pianist, piano & organ builder, and composer. He also advertised as a “Tutor for the Harmonium and American Organ.” His family was musical and he gave concerts at which five of his family took part. He died in Lambeth, London. His compositions include an operetta, a quartet for piano and strings, piano music, transcriptions for piano, part-songs, and songs.
