Biography

In a publication entitled The lyra ecclesiastica: consisting of voluntaries, introits, chants, services, anthems, sanctuses, & c / by eminent living composers ; edited by the Rev. Joshua Fawcett. Bradford, Yorkshire : E.A.W. Taylor ; London : J.G.F. & J. Rivington, 1844. he is identified as W. Couchman, Organist, Cranbrook. In the additional list of Patrons and Subscribers he is listed as Couchman, William, Cranbrook. In an online index to a journal on the Cranbrook Museum website he is listed as follows: Couchman, William, church organist (d. 1862).
