Latin text Audite me, docebo vos timorem vestigia salutis: heu, qui amat aeterna, si vult habere bona, invigilet in cura cordis sui.

English translation Hear me, and I will teach you to approach the path to salvation with foreboding: He who loves eternity, alas, if he wishes good things, must examine the concerns of his heart.
