Description: First performed 14 July 1715, the 4th Sunday after Trinity, and revised 1723 for Leipzig: in the opening movement's chorale oboe was replaced by trumpet. The Gospel (Luke 6) falls on Ordinary Time 7 C in the 1970 Lectionary.
