Original text and translations
Italian text Ben staga, tutta questa bella brigada, |
German translation Guten Tag, diese ganze feine Gesellschaft,
|
English translation Good day to all this finne company,
|
The missing text underlay for the first line suggests another interpretation: "briga" means trouble, quarrel,... Applying this to the second stanza yields "Nui sian venuti solo per honorar[io]" = "we have come only for the money", and "Nui sian venuti solo per ho" = "...però" = "we've come only for that" in bars 15 and 16. This is not really convincing, so it's left to discussion.
