Domenica XX post Pentecosten or the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost corresponds to the Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Gospel of the healing at Capernaum (John 4:46) giving way in the three-year lectionary giving way to the parable of the two sons (Matt. 21:25-29), the admonition to pluck out an offending eye (Mark 9:38-48), and Lazarus and dives (Luke 16:19-31). In Bach's Leipzig a similar miracle from Matthew was used for the Nineteenth Sunday after Trinity.
