Quasi terreno eletto,
Un lauro verde ingrato al suo cultore.
Che non pur frutto e fiore
Niega: ma l'ombra de suoi rami santi;
Ond'io riprego Amore,
Ch'ivi lo pose, indi lo svella e spianti.
