This is used as the opening versicle of Vespers and is often set (with the doxology gloria Patri), sometimes beginning with the response Domine ad adjuvandum.

Latin text Deus, in adjutorium meum intende. Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina. Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto, sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Variant 1 Laus tibi Domine Rex aeternae gloriae. French translation O Dieu, venez à mon aide. Seigneur, hâtez-vous de me secourir. Gloire au Père, au Fils et au Saint-Esprit. Comme il était au commencement, maintenant et toujours dans tous les siècles des siècles. Amen. Alléluia.

English translation O Lord, make speed to save me: O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, World without end, Amen. Variant 1 Praise to you, O Lord: King of eternal glory. German translation O Gott, komm mir zu Hilfe, O Herr, eile mir zu helfen. Ehre sei dem Vater und dem Sohne und dem heiligen Geiste. Wie es war am Anfang, so auch jetzt und allezeit und in Ewigkeit.
