Descrive l’atto nel quale vide baciarsi due donne amate da lui.

Di nettare amoroso ebro la mente,
rapto fui, né so come, in chiusa chiostra,
e due belle d’Amor guerriere in giostra
vidi con l’arme ond’egli è sì possente;

vidi che in dolce arringo alteramente
fer pria di lor beltà leggiadra mostra,
poi movendosi incontra, ove s’innostra
la bocca si ferir di bacio ardente.

Suonar le labbra e vi restaro i segni
de’ colpi impressi. Amor, deh, perché a voto
tant’arme e tai percosse usar da scherzo?

Provinsi in vera pugna e non si sdegni
scontro d’amante. Amor, me, tuo devoto,
opponi a l’una o fra le due fa terzo.

Beschreibt die Handlung, bei der er zwei von ihm geliebte Frauen sich küssen sah.

Den Geist trunken vom Nektar der Liebe,
fand ich mich verzückt, ich weiß nicht wie, in einem abgeschlossenen Raum,
und zwei schöne Kriegerinnen Amors im Zweikampf
sah ich mit den Waffen, wegen denen er so mächtig ist;

ich sah, dass sie in süßem Kampf stolz
zunächst ihre anmutige Schönheit zur Schau stellten,
dann, aufeinander zugehend, da, wo sich purpurn färbt
der Mund, sie sich trafen mit heißen Küssen.

Es erklangen die Lippen und es blieben dort die Zeichen
der empfangenen Treffer. Amor, ach, warum unnütz
so viele Waffen und solche Hiebe einsetzen zum Scherz?

Sie mögen sich im wahren Kampf bewähren und nicht scheuen
die Begegnung mit einem Liebhaber. Amor, stelle mich, den dir Ergebenen,
einer gegenüber oder mache mich zum Dritten im Bunde.

English translation

Describes the act in which he saw two women beloved by him kiss each other.

My mind inebriated by love‘s nectar,
i found myself rapt, not knowing how, in a closed room,
and two beautiful warioresses of Amor in a joust
I saw, with the weapons that make him so mighty;

I saw that in sweet combat proudly
they showcased their charming beauty,
then, approaching each other, they struck, where
the mouth turns to purple, each other with burning kisses.

The lips resounded, and left were the signs
of the hits received. Amor, alas, why vainly
use so much arms and such blows in jest?

Let them prove themselves in true battle and not disdain
the meeting with a lover. Amor, oppose me, your devotee,
against one, or make me the third among these two.
