Doleo super te, Jesu,
fili mei amabilis super amorem mulierum,
sicut mater unicum amat filium
ita te diligebam.

German translation

Ich empfinde Schmerz über dich, Jesus,
mein Sohn, liebenswerter als die Liebe der Frauen;
wie eine Mutter ihren einzigen Sohn liebt,
so liebte ich dich.

English translation

I mourn for you, Jesus,
my son, beloved above the love of women,
as a mother loves her only son,
so did I love you.
