Source of text is Psalm 29:2-3 (Vulgate). The Gradual (Wednesday after Passion Sunday and {{CC|Pentecost IV|OT 10 C) adds verse 4 as in Lasso's 6-part motet; the modern Graduale's translation however reads "Domine abstraxist ab inferis…"
