Description: The Polyeleopsalms (at least parts of Psalms 134 and 135 (Septuagint numbering)) are sung in the morning service (Orthros) of the orthodox church as the lamps are lighted (polyeleo = much oil) before the Morning Gospel is read. In Finland, the Gospel-book is usually brought in procession from the altar down into the Church during these psalms.
