Lass fahren nun die Eitelkeiten der Welt,
sie führen ab vom rechten Weg,
denn sie sind trügerisch.
Wende deinen Geist zu Christus,
denn jenen folgend könntest du sterben.
Sprich: O gütiger Jesus,

Relinquish now the vanities of the world,
they lead you off the right way,
for they are treacherous.
Turn your mind to Christ,
for following these you might die.
Speak: O benign Jesus,
help the falling that believe in you.
