Edition notes: The order of parts in the source is Tenor - Alto -Treble - Bass (identified in the first piece in the book), with the Alto and Tenor parts printed in the treble clef an octave above sounding pitch, and a keyboard accompaniment indicated in small notes on the Treble and Bass staves. This accompaniment largely doubles the inner voice parts, and has been omitted from this edition. Only the first verse of the text is given in the source: subsequent verses have here been added editorially.
