English text
Now is Christ risen from the dead,
And become the first fruits of them that slept.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together,
and rejoice evermore.
For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead,
But ev'ry man in his own order,
Christ the first fruit,
Afterwards they that are Christ's at his coming.
Behold I shew you a mystery:
we shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed in a moment,
in a twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump.
For the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be rais'd incorruptible,
And we shall all be changed,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
Now is come salvation and strength,
Hallelujah,
Now is come salvation and strength,
and the kingdom of God,
and the power of his Christ.
Hallelujah, Now is come salvation and strength.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Now is come the pow'r of his Christ.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
