Description: The sixth of six settings with texts from the laments of Jeremiah the Prophete. The text here is from the fifth chapter of the laments which also is called The Prayer of Jeremiah the Prophete. Liturgically the settings were for use as lessons in the Matins of Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Holy week. This setting would have been the last of the lessons from the laments on Holy Saturday.
