Latin text Panis quem ego dabo, caro mea est pro mundi vita. Litigabant ergo Iudaei ad invicem, dicentes: Quomodo potest hic nobis carnem suam dare ad manducandum. Locutus est populus ad Dominum: Anima nostra nauseat super cibo isto levissimo.

English translation This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (John 6:51b) Then the Jews began to quarrel among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” (John 6:52b-53) The people spoke to the Lord, “Our soul grows sick over this light bread.” (Numbers 21:5)
