<poem>
1.Present, though unlooked for,
Christ comes to his friends,
making new beginnings
from imagined ends.

2. On a road, retreating,
grieving for the dead,
two engage the Living
breaking common bread.

3. In a closed room, cloistered,
skeptics meet the Lord
and have in that moment
faith and strength restored.

4. Through a dark night fishing,
strained eyes glimpse a fire --
it is Christ rekindling
smoldering desire.

5. Present, though unlooked for,
Christ comes to his friends,
making new beginnings
from imagined ends.
