Italian text Se da l'aspra ferita al feritore innante, esce sangue spumante, che meraviglia è ch'io, donna a begl' occhi vostri le mie lacrime mostri, quei me feriro il seno col lor vivo baleno, e quel doglios humore altro non è che sangue, oime, del core.

Dutch translation Bij een bittere wond aan het binnenste, komt er schuimend bloed uit, hoe geweldig is het dat ik mijn tranen aan je mooie ogen schenk, die mijn borst pijn doen met hun helderheid, en die pijnlijke humor is niets anders dan bloed, o wee, van het hart.

English translation With a bitter wound on the inside, foamy blood comes out, how wonderful is it that I give my tears to your beautiful eyes, that hurt my chest with their brightness, and that painful humour is nothing else than blood, oh woe, of the heart.
